caused by its absence in an organisation, identifying the role played by the Quality
Management System as a tool for collective improvement
To know what the ISO 9001:2015 standard is, who it applies to and what specific benefits it
brings to the organisation, distinguishing the most common misconceptions about its
application from its true purpose as a tool for improvement.
To understand the process approach as the basis of the Quality Management System and to
apply the PDCA cycle as a tool for continual improvement, recognising its presence in the
everyday activities of any job role.
To know the blocks of requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 standard in an understandable
way and without jargon, relating each block to specific actions in daily work and
understanding key tools such as SWOT analysis, SMART objectives and the analysis of risks
and opportunities.
To know and correctly use the main tools of the QMS — procedures, records, indicators and
corrective actions — understanding their real purpose as an instrument for improving
processes and not as a mechanism for controlling people.
To recognise the role and responsibilities of each level of the organisation in the Quality
Management System, taking on the responsibility that comes with one's own job role and
understanding how the involvement of every person is essential for the system to work
effectively.
To understand the audit as a tool for improvement and not as a control mechanism,
distinguishing between the existing types of audit, their purpose and the appropriate
behaviour of staff while an audit is being carried out, removing the fear associated with this
process.
To integrate the learning from the course into an overall view of the Quality Management
System, recognising one's personal contribution to the system and taking on quality as an
everyday attitude that has a direct impact on customer satisfaction and on the improvement
of the working environment.
